In 2018, I was contacted by the Australian publisher Little Hare Books, an imprint of Hardie Grant Egmont. They asked if I was interested in illustrating two board books that were supposed to challenge gender stereotypes and promote diversity for all children. HELL YES was I interested! Making two feminist picture books for the littlest ones was a dream come true.
Each book has 8 pages with flaps that can be opened to reveal the different attributes how girls and boys can be – funny, strong, bold, special, clever, creative – whatever the hell they want to be! :)
